Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is an international research and policy non-profit that works with researchers and decision-makers to design, co-create, and rigorously evaluate policies and programs to find solutions that improve the lives of people living in poverty.

Highlighted projects

  • Support to the National GBV Policy Action Plan Revision (Uganda) Supported the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development to revise the action plan for Uganda’s national GBV policy. Facilitated the Ministry’s consultant in collecting primary data and revising the policy document. Conducted an evidence review to inform the process and co-hosted the technical working committee overseeing the review.

  • Embedded Evidence Lab in the Ministry of Education and Sports (Uganda) Established a permanent evidence lab within Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports to institutionalize evidence-informed policymaking. The lab supports internal evidence generation, builds capacity among ministry staff, and integrates evidence use into routine decision-making processes.
